Wow, It's been 8 months since my last entry, where does the time go?
I'm graduating this week, and the day after, I'm going on a trip to the BVI.
Now, in the art world:
I think I've successfully developed some cartoon styles of my own, and also learned to draw my figures with greater movement and expression.
I have also come up with several stories. For those of you who know me personally, you know that I am a virtual dynamo of storymaking, and I come up with a good premise faster than...well, pretty fast, anyway. I'd like some help though. I am a terrible dialogue writer and a terrible procrastinator -- so I'd like a partner, someone who'd be willing to put up with me in exchange for a collaboration on some comics or animation or whatever.
Here's a simple idea for a humorous comic: over 100 years from now, in the city of San Hallaston, where everyone is a hard worker (San Haul-ass-ton), there live a couple of strange teenage roomates: one is a human who hates humans for being irrational, and has therefore created for herself an android body, complete with logic inhibitors (that act as a shock collar when she gets emotional, lol). The second is her father's 'pet project', a true android that wants to be as humanlike as possible. Together, they fight supervillains and defend the planet, while getting on each other's nerves.
Here's an idea for an animation: Sometime in the really post-post-post apocalyptic future, Giant hydrogen filled fish fly through the sky, and nomadic humans in airship cities follow them, hunting them to keep their crumbling cities afloat, but also for food. Unfortunately, due to a war between some of the larger balloon cities, as well as natural population growth, there is no longer room for more people, and so it is up to a couple of high-flying siblings to find a legendary library where they will learn how to make more airships, and also about themselves.
These are short form, and I've got dozens of these in my head. If anyone would like to help out, I'd be glad to oblige. I pretty much need a dialogue writer and someone who keeps me on deadlines.
